Back in 2010, when I was one of the 10th batch of Shooting Home participants (a mentorship program by Objectifs. www.objectifs.com.sg), my assignment was to capture the beauty of trees. In my search around this not-so-tiny island, I found one with lots of character. I am happy that of late, I am able to place it in a family graduation portrait shoot as one of the backgrounds. Come to think of it, it looms more like the subject. It has be one of my favourite photos in the album. This majestic species is the kapok tree / ceiba pentendra - a heritage tree found in the Botanic Gardens.
